Miesha Tate vs. Rin Nakai in talks for UFC Japan
Pride FC used to put together all sorts of weird and intriguing matches to help bring in the ratings, and it appears as if the UFC may be pulling a trick out of the now defunct MMA organizatin’s book as they are proposing a women’s bantamweight bout between former Strikeforce women’s champion Miesha Tate and undfeated Queen of Pancrase, Rin Nakai.
The show which will take place September 20, will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson and Mark Hunt.
Nakai (16-0-1) is a very unique character appearing in many YouTube videos doing oddly tasks such as a video where the muscular fighter makes a heart shaped cake, cuts it in half and then appears half-naked with whipped cream and strawberries on her bum.
Go ahead, go to YouTube, type in ‘Rin Nakai’ and be amazed with the weirdness that is brought to your screen. She is a star in her own right and the videos are nothing short of entertaining.
Tate is coming off a win over Liz Carmouche after back-to-back losses to Cat Zingano and Ronda Rousey.
This fight is not yet set in stone, but it is very much in the works.Follow MyMMANews.com on Social Media
