Murad Ramazanov Targets ONE Championship Welterweight Title Shot

Murad Ramazanov has ONE Championship gold in his crosshairs.

The undefeated welterweight warrior made his title intentions clear in a recent highlight video posted to his Instagram.

In a transcription courtesy of Sportskeeda, Ramazanov’s IG caption stated, “Thanks to everyone who sincerely supported me! I am glad that this fight lasted the entire distance because what a fighter is made of can be understood after completing three rounds with an experienced opponent.”

“I hope the next fight will be a five-round title fight. @onechampionship I’m ready.”

He is 11-0 as a professional mixed martial artist and is 3-0 specifically inside the ONE Circle. Murad Ramazanov has a sixteen-fight winning streak dating back to his days as an amateur competitor.

Ramazanov’s last outing saw him garner a victory over a former ONE welterweight world champion. He bested Zebaztian Kadestam via unanimous decision at ONE: Winter Warriors II on December 17th.

The other pair of wins inside the Circle saw him put together another victory across all three judges’ scorecards against Hiroyuki Tetsuka. Also, Ramazanov secured a first-round striking-based stoppage over Bae Myung Ho.

Outside of Ramazanov, Raimond Magomedaliev is another ONE welterweight contender riding a three-fight winning streak who stands out as a possible contender for Kiamrian Abbasov’s belt.

He kicked off his ONE run with a pair of first-round finishes over Edson Marques and Joey Pierotti via right cross and guillotine choke, respectively.

Magomedaliev’s last victory came by way of UD against a former ONE welterweight title challenger. This came over Tyler McGuire when the two clashed at ONE on TNT I in April.

ONE Championship does not have a defined rankings hierarchy for their welterweights. But many who follow the promotion don’t see it as a wild notion for Ramazanov to next secure a crack at the crown.

How do you feel about a possible Murad Ramazanov vs Kiamrian Abbasov ONE welterweight title fight?
