Rodtang eyeballs Tenshin vs Takeru winner following news breaking of their summer bout.

A location, specific date (June 2022 some time), and promotional banner (Rizin, Rise, or K1) are not specified. But Takeru versus Tenshin is inspiring a lot of buzz regardless.

A dream fight many kickboxing enthusiasts have longed for over the years and people are already staking their claim for a throwdown with the eventual victor.

ONE Championship has Rodtang under contract while Tenshin competes for Rizin as well as Rise. Takeru is the K1 champion so all of these promotional aspects create a bit of a tangled mess in terms of facilitating a desired matchup between any permutation of these three.

A hybrid contest intermingling Muay Thai and MMA rules between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Demetrious Johnson is set for ONE X. The tenth-anniversary show for ONE Championship is tentatively aligned for some time in the first quarter of 2022.

Rodtang has a history with Tenshin with the two fighting in quite the polarizing contest. Tenshin Nasukawa emerged with the highly disputed decision victory over Rodtang Jitmuangnon at Rise 125 in June 2018.

Both fighters have indicated an interest in a rematch on and off since that first fight. A sequel clash in the hopes of finally producing a conclusive victor.

The Iron Man has never tested skills with Takeru inside the confines of a ring.

This is purportedly Tenshin’s last contest as a kickboxer as he plans to transition full time into the Boxing world. It remains to be seen if the allure of a possible rematch with Rodtang could cause an amendment to that retirement timeline in Nasukawa’s kickboxing endeavors.

The ONE Super Series combatant plies his trade in kickboxing contests but predominantly Rodtang competes under Muay Thai in the four-ounce gloves. A space where he holds the ONE Muay Thai flyweight championship.
