Nate Diaz slams Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns booking at UFC 251: ‘This isn’t a title fight’
Nate Diaz is not a fan of Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns for the welterweight title at UFC 251.
For months now, the expectation was Usman would defend his belt against Jorge Masvidal who had an amazing 2019. He scored knockout wins over Darren Till and Ben Askren, in five seconds, and then beat Diaz at UFC 244 to win the BMF title. Since then, Dana White said “Gamebred” would be getting the title shot against Usman. Yet, negotiations have stalled and the promotion went to Burns instead.
Now that the fight is official to headline UFC 251, Diaz is not a fan of the fight.
This is what’s wrong with people claiming they’re fighters settling for less cause they know they’re not worth shit you should’ve fought the next guy in line not the guy who would take less cause he’s told too that’s why no one will remember youguys

The Stockton, California native didn’t stop there as he always took a dig at both Usman and Burns’ pay.
I get paid more than both of you together 😎

“I get paid more than both of you together. + F**K REEBOK,” he added.
Nate Diaz has not fought since he suffered the TKO doctor stoppage loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244. Before that, he returned at UFC 241 after three years away from the Octagon where he earned a decision win over Anthony Pettis. He took time away from fighting after his back-to-back fights with Conor McGregor in 2016.
Although Diaz is not a fan of the fight, Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns is still a phenomenal fight, and “Durinho” is the number one welterweight contender. He’s coming off a dominant decision win over Tyron Woodley and before that scored a first-round knockout win over Demian Maia. Yet, many people, like Diaz, are not a fan of the title fight booking to headline UFC 251.
