NCAA Wrestling: Penn State Goes 16-2 On Day One

Penn State is sitting in second place with 28.5 points. Trailing rival, Ohio State by 7.5 team points. In session two, on Day one, Penn State went an overall 16-2. they went 7-2 in the first round. In round two, the Nittany Lions swept their opponents going 7-0 and in wrestling backs, they went 2-0.

The five returning national champions went 10-0 for Cael Sanderson’s squad. Zain Retherford, Mark Hall, and Shakur Rasheed all scored bonus points for the Blue and White. Retherford, extended his winning record to 91 wins with a Fall in the second round. Hall recorded a major decision, as well as Rasheed.
