Neil Magny predicts knockout win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 283

Veteran UFC welterweight Neil Magny is predicting that he scores a knockout win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 283.

Magny will travel to Rio de Janeiro and take on Burns in enemy territory. For Magny, this is a massive opportunity for him to jump into the top five of the UFC welterweight division by beating an absolute stud in Burns. On paper, Burns should be the betting favorite, but Magny has been in the UFC for a decade now and he has pulled off many upsets throughout his time in the UFC.

Speaking to James Lynch of Sportskeeda, Magny broke down the matchup against Burns. As far as Magny goes, he knows that it’s a difficult fight on paper, but he likes the challenge. He is confident that he will get his hand raised in the fight, and he believes he will get the job done by knockout.

“He has a good level of striking and a very good ground game. So I have to make sure I bring my best into the cage on fight night. I know I can overcome Burns in grappling, wrestling and also have an advantage in striking, so it’s about keeping the weapons sharp to get the result. The most important issue in the fight will be who will control the range and distance. Whoever achieves this wins the fight. For me, it’s exciting, like a chess game I’m preparing for with anticipation, I can’t wait. I see myself going there and getting a TKO stoppage against Gilbert Burns. I know that I can accelerate the pace towards him, find the point where he will break and, from there, finish the fight,” Magny said (h/t AG Fight).

Do you think Neil Magny will knock out Gilbert Burns at UFC 283 as he predicts, or do you think Burns will win the fight?
