Nicco Montano out of Feb. 6 fight; Joselyne Edwards steps in

Nicco Montano will no longer be fighting on Feb. 6 against Karol Rosa after pulling out of the fight with an undisclosed injury. Now Joselyne Edwards will step in on short note to fight Rosa.

Milenio was first to report the news.

Montano (4-3) was the inaugural UFC flyweight champion when she defeated Roxanne Modafferi in the TUF 26 finale. After struggling to make the 125 pound weight limit, Montano moved up to bantamweight in July 2019. She lost her UFC bantamweight debut to Julianna Peña and hasn’t fought since.

Rosa (13-3) comes into the fight on a four-fight winning streak after beating Vanessa Melo at UFC 251 in July.
