Nina Ansaroff will be making her return to the octagon on April 10 against in a surging Mackenzie Dern.
ESPN was first to report the news and according to their report, contracts have not been signed, but both Ansaroff and Dern have agreed to the fight.
Ansaroff (10-6) made a run towards the top of the strawweight division in 2017 and 2018 by winning four fights in a row before losing to Tatiana Suarez in 2019. After a great stretch over three years, Ansaroff, who is the fiancée of UFC two-weight champion Amanda Nunes, did not fight in 2020 as she gave birth to the couple’s daughter Raegan in September.
The news of Ansaroff return comes on the same day that it was announced that her fiancée will defend her featherweight title against Megan Anderson at UFC 259 on March 6.
Dern (10-1) is a mother herself and missed some time after giving birth to her daughter Moa in 2019. Right now Dern is on three-fight winning streak and she just picked up a win over Virna Jandiroba at UFC 256 on Dec. 12. ESPN also reported that Dern suffered a broken nose in that fight and she will undergo a minor procedure.
Dern is 6-1 in the UFC and her lone came against Amanda Ribas nearly four months after she gave birth.
The UFC has not officially announced their event scheduled for April 10 and their is also no location booked for the event as well.
