ONE Championship on TNT looks to be a star-studded affair. ONE announced that their April 7th card will feature two championship fights and a possible title eliminator.
The TNT broadcast airs live in the United States during a prime viewership block, per the promotion.
Firstly, Demetrious Mighty Mouse Johnson will challenge for Adriano Moraes’ flyweight belt. This means the title bout shifts from the initially announced February 24th date in Singapore.
Johnson gets his long-awaited title shot after winning ONE’s flyweight grand prix over a year ago. He earned the unanimous decision win over Danny Kingad in October 2019 in the tournament finals.
Adriano Moraes bested Geje Eustaquio in January 2019 via unanimous decision to capture the world title. This outing with Johnson will mark his first defense of that belt.

Secondly, ONE flyweight Muay Thai world Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon will defend his gold against Jacob Smith.
Rodtang looks to make the fourth defense of his ONE crown and his last performance saw him defeat Petchdam Petchyindee via unanimous decision in July of last year.
Smith is the number one ranked featherweight out of the UK and makes his promotional debut here. His Superlek bout in March 2020 fell apart because of coronavirus concerns and this readjusted the timeline for Smith’s ONE Championship debut.
Finally, Eddie Alvarez will be taking on Iuri Lapicus in a consequential lightweight bout. The former Bellator and UFC lightweight champ looks to score back to back wins under the ONE banner. The Underground King notched a come from behind victory, fittingly, via rear-naked choke against the highly regarded Eduard Folayang.
Number two ranked lightweight Lapicus is looking to rebound in a big way after suffering his first pro defeat. Lapicus’ loss came via first-round stoppage in a title bid against Christian Lee.
ONE’s next event goes Friday, January 29th. ONE Championship: Unbreakable II features a varied mixture of martial arts and movie monster collisions of epic proportions.
