Reug Reug vs Alain Ngalani is a titanic clash set to go down before month’s end. Oumar Kane (better known as Reug Reug) will be making his promotional debut for ONE Championship here.
The fight will broadcast via tape delay on January 29th. ONE Championship: Unbreakable II will emanate from Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
This bout will take place in the heavyweight division with both looking for favorable placement within the hierarchy. The division now contains names like reigning champion Brandon Vera, Amir Aliakbari, Arjan Bhullar, and Buchecha just to name a few.
Reug Reug vs Alain Ngalani
Alain Ngalani was in talks to fight Vitor Belfort for The Phenom‘s welcome bout into ONE but nothing has come to fruition after close to a year of dialogue about that.
Kane will be taking part in his sophomore MMA contest here. This prizefight will mark the eleventh pro-MMA bout for Ngalani.
Reug Reug made his MMA debut at ARES FC 1 and emerged victorious via second-round strikes against Sofiane Boukichou. The hulking wrestler was theorized to compete at ARES FC 2 last April. But the global pandemic scrapped that idea leading to this pivot towards fighting in ONE.
Alain Ngalani has been with ONE Championship since September 2013 having competed in MMA as well as kickboxing bouts. The striking savant has traded leather with some notable names. This includes a pair of bouts with Chi Lewis-Parry and a thrilling encounter with Aung La N Sang.
All of Ngalani’s stoppage wins have come in the opening frame. He has a pair of victories that happened in 31 seconds (via wheel kick no less) and 11 seconds.
Ngalani’s last outing saw him lose via strikes in the first round. This came to former title contender Mauro Cerilli in March 2019. Cerilli will take on Abdulbasir Vagabov in the ONE Championship: Unbreakable II main event.
