ONE: Winter Warriors II features Kadestam and Bigdash return bouts
ONE: Winter Warriors II broadcasts on Friday, December 17th. This is a pre-taped card that will emanate from Singapore Indoor Stadium.
A pair of former ONE world championship titleholders have been added to the pugilistic proceedings. The fistic fireworks are set to help close off the calendar year for ONE Champioship.
ONE: Winter Warriors II
Former divisional kingpin Zebaztian Kadestam clashes with unbeaten Murad Ramazanov.
After falling short in his first welterweight title bid to then-champion Ben Askren, Kadestam captured the ONE welterweight world championship in a contest with Tyler McGuire at ONE: Warrior’s Dream.
Kadestam looks to bounce back from a two-fight losing skid by putting the first blemish ever on his opponent’s record.
Ramazanov is a 10-0 pro with a fifteen-fight winning streak cumulatively. This dates back to the run as an amateur mixed martial artist.
He cut his teeth on the Russian circuit with organizations like GFC as well as Fight Nights Global. Murad Ramazanov is now 2-0 under the ONE Championship banner.
Also, former ONE middleweight world champion Vitaly Bigdash tests skills against Fan Rong.
At the time of the broadcast, it will be over three years since Bigdash has stepped into the ONE Circle to compete. There were multiple attempts at booking redemptive bouts against Leandro Ataides and Aung La N Sang (on two occasions). He had lost to both combatants in back-to-back outings.
A staph infection, a global pandemic taking hold, and testing positive for COVID. These were the reasons that derailed these three targeted contests for Vitaly Bigdash. This happened on an annual basis from 2019 through 2021.
Fan Rong fell short in his promotional debut to present dual division ONE champion Reinier de Ridder. Now he is now riding a two-fight win streak with back-to-back W’s inside the ONE Circle.
What are your thoughts on these former ONE Championship titleholders returning at ONE: Winter Warriors II?
