UFC strawweight standout Paige VanZant the 22nd season of the hit television series “Dancing With the Stars.” She will be partnered with Emmy®-nominated choreographer, actor and musician, Mark Ballas.
This season also includes:
NFL players Von Miller and Antonio Brown, as well as former player Doug Flutie. Other confirmed cast members include Mischa Barton, Nyle DiMarco, Kim Fields, Marla Maples, Wanya Morris, Geraldo Rivera, Jodie Sweetin and Ginger Zee.
Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews host the show, and Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman return as judges.
21-year old VanZant (6-2) most recently competed against Rose Namajunas in December and currently does not have a fight scheduled.
VanZant grew up dancing in Dayton, Oregon where her parents owned a dance studio. After some very difficult instances in which she was badly bullied in school, she came across MMA legend Ken Shamrock’s gym where she trained in both boxing and MMA. She turned pro on June 30th, 2012 and signed with UFC in December 2012 where she’s quickly become one of their rising stars. She is also one of a select group of UFC stars to have an endorsement deal as a Reebok athlete alongside Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, Johny Hendricks, Connor McGregor and Jon Jones.
