Parker Porter slugs out win against Josh Parisian at #UFCVegas15

Parker Porter bounces back and slugs out a unanimous win over Josh Parisian at UFC on ESPN 18 this Saturday, Nov. 28.

A heavy pace in the first for heavyweights. Both men eating shots. Porter putting on the pressure and lands a good combination. Parisian slowed down alot at the end of the round, and is really wearing the pace of the round. The bell goes end of round 1. Porter gets a takedown. Porter landing some short elbows. Good knees from Porter and Parisian scrambles back to his feet to end the round. A big one-two from Porter. a warning from the ref asking Parisian to fight back. Another one-two from Porter. Parisian trying to spin to win. Parisian showing his heart and plowing forward. Porter looks up the fight against the fence. Ten seconds to. Seconds left at the end of the fight and both men land a big show on the break from the clinch.

The show must go on. 

Although the UFC on ESPN 18 main event between heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis was scrapped due to a positive COVID-19 test from Blaydes, the 10-fight card pushes on. A light-heavyweight bout between former title challenger Anthony Smith and Devin Clark headlines the event inside the UFC Apex tonight, Saturday, Nov. 28. 

Welterweights Miguel Baeza and Takashi Sato will serve as the co-main event bout of the evening.

Directly before the two final fights of the night, heavyweights Josh Parisian and Parker Porter will clash inside the octagon.Parisian is set to make his octagon debut over two years after appearing on season 28 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” 

Parisian is fresh off his second stint on Dana White’s Contender Series. He finished Chad Johnson via first-round TKO back in August. The 31-year-old is on a six-fight TKO win streak. 

Porter looks to rebound after falling in his octagon debut at UFC 252 in August. He suffered a first-round TKO to the surging Chris Daukaus. The loss snapped a two-fight win streak for the 35-year-old.

ROUND 1

Round one. They touch gloves. A huge combination against the cage for Porter. Parisian was equal to and avoids the punches. Porter pushing Parisian up against the cage. A crisp one-two from Porter. Parisian grabs the muay thai clinch and lands a knee up top. A right hand gets through the guard of Porter and he looks to be stumbles, Parisian pours on the pressure landing combinations. Porter lands a big right and it backs up Parisina, he returns with a big spinning back fist and a elbow. Now its porters turn and he attempts a single leg. They break. They touch gloves, a good show of respect from both men. Porter looks the fresher of the two. Porter lands some good leg kicks. Both men throwing in the pocket. Parisian may have slipped and Porter tries to grab the neck. He lets it go and now is unleashes some ground and pound. Both men step up back to the feet. A massive right hand from Parisian, doesn’t seem to faze Porter. Both men are exhausted. Porter gets a takedown. Porter in side control. Now half guard. Porter landing some short elbows. Porter isolates the left arm and looking for a keylock. Porter lets it go. Sixty seconds left in round two. Porter staying busy on top. Porter has Parisian pushed up against the fence on the ground. Good knees from Porter and Parisian scrambles back to his feet to end the round.

A front kick to the face from Parisian.  A big one-two from Porter. a warning from the ref asking Parisian to fight back. Another one-two from Porter. Parisian trying to spin to win. A right cross continues to connect from Porter. Parisian showing his heart and plowing forward. Porter looks up the fight against the fence. Ten seconds to. Seconds left at the end of the fight and both men land a big show on the break from the clinch.
