PFL 5 Live Results: Chris Wade Defends Home Turf

Thursday night, Professional Fighters League heads to NYCB Live – Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York for their fifth regular-season event in the league’s inaugural year. The PFL 5 main event is between Jason High of Kansas City and Natan Schulte. The evening will be filled with second-round lightweight and light heavyweight bouts. Fighters tonight, including Long Island’s very own Chris Wade will be battling to make their way into the PFL playoffs. Fights start at 7:05 PM est. on Facebook Watch and are followed by the main card, which is aired at 9 PM on NBC Sports Network.

Wade, an Islip native trains out of Long Island MMA in Farmingdale New York. The former Junior College national finalist and Division III all-American wrestler is sitting on the bubble of the playoffs after falling in his first bout via unanimous decision. Wade will be battling Japanese fighter, Yuki Kawana tonight on Long Island in front of his friends and family.

The Long Island MMA fighter is headlining the undercard which is aired live and for free on Facebook Watch. Wade discussed how he plans to bring the fight to Kawana, planning to take the decision out of the judges’ hands.

Will Brooks takes on Robert Watley in the third bout on the main card tonight. Tune into this lightweight matchup that may be the decider of the number one seed for the playoffs.
