PFL Announces PFL Studios for Original Content
PFL continues to expand it’s digital footprint in the world of media. PFL will make even more new content and series for fans while it’s 2020 season is postponed. The studio will be led by George Greenberg, a 16 time Emmy Award winner. Daniel Gosh-Roy will continue to make short form content across platforms.
ESPN platforms will be the home to the PFL content, and announced is a six part series on MMA and UFC legend, Randy Couture. Couture is a commentator for the promotion.
CEO, Peter Murray, is excited to be working even closer with ESPN. They are hoping to not only grow PFL, but mixed martial arts as a whole.
PFL New Original Series Coming to ESPN
As mentioned earlier, the promotion is dropping a six part docuseries on Randy Couture. In addition to that, there are three other series dropping. “Fantastic Finishes,” which drops this month, will be a highlight driven, seven-episode series going over all the best knockouts. The one hour finale will be an hour long and feature the top 40 finishes from PFL and World Series of Fighting.
The third series is comes out this June. It’s a 10 part series called “Inside the Season” where fans will get insight to an entire season of PFL and the ends and outs of fighting, matchmaking, locker rooms and more.
“A CHampion’s Journey” is the fourth series. It tells the dories of Kayla Harrison, Lance Palmer, Ray Cooper III, and other fighters of PFL’s roster. Rory MacDonald will also be featured in the eight-part series.
The Couture documentary titled “The Randy Couture Story” will tell fans of his journey through wrestling and MMA. That comes out in September.
