Liam Harrison: A UK Thai Boxing Legend
Liam Harrison is one of the most popular and well known Nak Muay in the world. Hailing from the UK, Harrison has fought Saenchai three times getting compliments from the legend saying he’s the toughest foreigner he’s ever fought.
Harrison’s accomplishments in the ring are some of the highest ever achieved for a foreigner. He’s won titles in 2011 and 2014 for the WBC. Harrison has fought the best in the world, sharing the ring with Rodlek, Petchmorakot, Masaaki Noiri, Satoruvashicoba, Charles Francios, Malaipet and of course, Saenchai.
In addition to the names, Liam Harrison has fought in some of the most iconic stadiums in the world. A list of promotions and stadiums Harrison has been involved with include ONE Championship, Muay Thai Grand Prix, Yokkao, Lion Fight, Glory, Lumpinee Stadium, the ISKA, and Rajadamnern Stadium.
Going into ONE 156, Thanousin is the next opponent to be added to Liam Harrison’s historical career. Thanousin has fought some of Thai boxing’s biggest stars. Thanousin has shared the ring with Superlek, Saeksan, Mongkolpetch, and Genji Umeno.
Stadiums include many outings at Lumpinee in Bangkok, Thailand, Channel 7, Rajadamnern, and ONE Championship. He is a former Lumpinee Stadium Light Flyweight champ, the fighter of the year in 2016 and 2018 for Lumpinee, and the Channel 7 Stadium Super Featherweight Champion.
