Randy Couture, a ‘Natural’ Poet? UFC Hall of Famer Reveals Hidden Talent
Easily one of the most recognizable faces in MMA, Randy ‘The Natural’ Couture appeared on Submission Radio yesterday and was asked to finish this sentence….”People don’t know that I.”
Who would have guessed Randy’s answer would be “write poetry”?
The Natural said he began writing poetry in college. He was a literature major at Oklahoma State where he wrestled for four years.
“I started writing when I was studying and its just kind of taken on a life of its own.”
Couture then read on air the first poem that he wrote entitled ‘What I like.’
“I like smilinag faces and showering kisses. I like warm embraces and near misses. I like life on the edge and the smell of rain. I like making a pledge that will always remain. I like tender tickles in the heat of the fight. I like the taste of pickles and the motivation of flight. But most of all I like love, I like life, and I like you, that’s what I like.”
