The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to us tonight, September 16, 2023, for Noche UFC, going down live from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Headlining the event is a women’s flyweight championship rematch between Alexa Grasso (16-3) and no. 1 ranked former champion Valentina Shevchenko (23-4).
Co-headlining the event is a welterweight showdown between no. 13 ranked former XKO middleweight champion Kevin Holland (25-9) and no. 14 ranked former RF & EMMA welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena (15-2).
Our feature fight of the evening came at 135 lbs between 18-year-old phenom Raul Rosas Jr (8-1) and The Ultimate Fighter 24 contestant Terrence Mitchell (14-4).
Rosas, following a first-round rear naked choke victory in his promotional debut last December, came into this bout off the first defeat of his career to Christian Rodriguez. Mitchell on the other hand lost his UFC debut to South African prospect Cameron Saaiman this past July.

Official Result: Raul Rosas Jr def. Terrence Mitchell via TKO (punches) at :54 seconds of round one
Mitchell opens up the bout with a head kick before the two begin wildly throwing heavy combinations toward one another. Each of them land, and eat a series of punches, Rosas landing a nasty left hook that drops Mitchell about 45 seconds into the opening round.
Rosas proceeds to take Mitchell’s back and reign down some nasty punches from top position to secure the TKO victory.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That’s the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
