Reggie “Educated Hands” Barnett talks KnuckleMania and lightweight title

With BKFC: Knucklemania looming, so much attention has been drawn to this card. With so many amazing fights lined up, including combat sports icons, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has outdone themselves again.

With the debut of UFC vet and social media icon, Paige Van Zant taking on Britain Hart and “The Crippler” Chris Leben taking on Quentin Henry in his retirement bout, this card is stacked. Amongst so many other incredible matchups, BKFC vet and lightweight title contender, Reggie “Educated Hands” Barnett has his eyes set on another featured bout on the bill.

“Brutal” Johnny Bedford is set to defend his lightweight title against Dat Nguyen in the co-main event of the evening. A bout, Barnett is particularly interested in.

It’s is an interesting fight,” says Barnett. “We’re going to see if Dat is really that elite level boxer,” he says about Nguyen’s pro boxing experience. “Against a real bare-knuckle fighter! Cuz me and Johnny happen to be one of the few! There’s a difference between being an MMA fighter a boxer and a bare-knuckle fighter,” Barnett emphasizes.

“I just wanted to fight on that card. But it’s all good! I’m definitely going to be in the house,” Barnett says about the mega-card. “When Johnny wins I should be next line,” Barnett says with conviction.

Although nothing is set in stone for “Educated Hands”, he plans to stay busy this year between boxing and BKFC. “Dave said March,” he says about his BKFC potential return. However, one thing Barnett makes clear. Whether it’s in the BKFC ring or the boxing ring, Barnett concludes “I’m a hazard! I’m a risk!”

Tune in above as we catch up with Reggie “Educated Hands” Barnett as he weighs in on BKFC’s stacked card on Super Bowl weekend. He discusses his personal thoughts on the Bedford/Nguyen fight as well as his feelings toward both athletes. We rundown the main card for “KnuckleMania” and so much more!
