Reinier de Ridder vs Kiamrian Abbasov Set for ONE: Full Circle

Reinier de Ridder vs Kiamrian Abbasov further bolsters ONE Championship’s programming for the first quarter of 2022.

The announcement of the middleweight world title clash came during the ONE: Heavy Hitters broadcast on January 14th.

This monumental clash between two titleholders in ONE Championship will headline ONE: Full Circle. This card transpires on February 25th from Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In a transcription courtesy of Sportskeeda, ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong addressed RDR’s skills on the live broadcast a few days ago by stating, “Reinier has the scariest body type, just like Roger Gracie. That’s the thing. When you have high-level jiu-jitsu and your body type is long and lanky, you have tremendous leverage and tremendous finishing ability.”

De Ridder holds both the middleweight and light heavyweight crowns within the organization.

This upcoming contest will represent his first defense of either belt. This after a pair of back-to-back clashes where he claimed both titles against Aung La N Sang.

Reinier de Ridder boasts a 14-0 MMA record and The Dutch Knight is looking to keep that undefeated streak going.

De Ridder last fought in late April of 2021 when he emerged victorious in the ONE on TNT IV main event. He claimed the light heavyweight belt from the aforementioned N Sang in their rematch.

These two testing skills inside the ONE Circle has been bantered about for months and it will finally come to fruition.

Kiamrian Abbasov is the reigning ONE welterweight world champion. He is looking to dethrone the dual division titleholder and become one himself in the process.

Abbasov has been competitively dormant for over a year following the first successful defense of his welterweight crown.

The last outing for Brazen saw him secure a fourth-round finish over James Nakashima in November 2020 at ONE: Inside The Matrix II.
