A specific opponent and date are not known as of yet for this upcoming Ritu Phogat bout.

ONE Championship aims to resume putting on shows with the first installment of a three-part series kicking off on July 30th. ONE: Battleground transpires on that date, ONE: Battleground II is set for August 13th, and ONE: Battleground III wraps up the series on August 27th.

Phogat’s last mixed martial arts fight took place on May 15th at ONE: Dangal. This contest saw Ritu Phogat drop a polarizing split decision to Bi Nguyen.

The Indian Tigress was initially scheduled to be part of the looming ONE Atomweight Grand Prix. But the loss to Killer Bee was what lead to her being phased out of the tournament field as of this writing.

ONE: Empower was supposed to go down on May 28th featuring the Atomweight Grand Prix quarterfinal bouts. The event was postponed due to the uncertain COVID 19 landscape at the time. No follow-up information has been provided on an amended date for ONE: Empower.

Ritu Phogat

Phogat has indicated an interest in both a rematch with Nguyen and a chance to re-enter the tournament field.

Ritu Phogat seems to be diligently working, per her social media training posts, and seems like she is chomping at the bit to get back inside the ONE Circle. Seemingly poised to showcase the growth in her overall game as she aims to rebound from her first pro MMA defeat.

Phogat has plied her trade solely with ONE Championship for the entirety of her professional career. She has an overall MMA record of four wins opposite her lone aforementioned defeat.

Who do you think Ritu Phogat will take on in her return to ONE Championship competition?
