ONE: Empower postponed from May 28th
ONE Championship announces “ONE: Empower postponed”. This is due to the current COVID-19 landscape in Singapore.
The health and safety of all involved (the athletes, staff, and fans) is the top priority and motivated the rescheduling. A new date for the event and other relevant details will be announced at a later juncture.
The organization addressed the news of this event postponement on their social media.

An intriguing facet of this social media post is the matchup confirmation within it.
There were reports going around regarding new signee Julie Mezabarba filling in the Grand Prix’s TBA spot to take on Meng Bo. Mezabarba’s inclusion in the poster next to Meng Bo confirms these rumblings as legitimate.
In lieu of ONE: Empower’s pivot, ONE Championship will instead air a tape-delayed event on May 28th.
ONE: Full Blast features a ONE Super Series Muay Thai showdown between Saemapetch Fairtex and Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai which headlines the card.

A strawweight world championship bout headlines ONE: Empower. It will be between divisional queen Xiong Jing Nan and number two ranked contender/ jiu-jitsu savant Michelle Nicolini.
The ONE: Empower co-feature is to be a ONE Super Series kickboxing contest. This will be between Anissa Meksen and Martine Michieletto.
Also, the all-female extravaganza is showcasing the promotion’s atomweight warriors in a big way. The ONE Atomweight Grand Prix is an enormous focus of ONE: Empower.
The quarterfinal bouts for the Grand Prix (as of this writing) include Seo Hee Ham vs. Denice Zamboanga, Alyona Rassohyna vs. Stamp Fairtex, Itsuki Hirata vs. Alyse Anderson, and Meng Bo vs Julie Mezabarba.
