Rosie DeMatteo KTFO 13 Post Fight-Interview

Rosie DeMatteo of American Top Team – Whitestone won her second amateur fight Saturday night at KTFO 13, on Long Island, New York. The ATT-Whitestone bantamweight defeated a tough opponent early in her amateur career. She earned her brought her record to 2-0 after winning a unanimous decision against Sarah Thomas, of Long Island MMA.

These two women battled through three rounds. Once DeMatteo managed to get past Thomas’ striking, she took Thomas down once in each round, where she remained on top for the remaining time. While on top, DeMatteo delivered heavy ground-and-pound that broke Thomas’ nose.

The fight went to the judges score cards, giving DeMatteo a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
