Roxanne Modafferi is wasting no time getting back into the octagon.
MMA Junkie reported that Modafferi will take on Andrea Lee in a women’s flyweight bout set for Sept. 12 in Las Vegas. The report said the fight is not finalized, but verbal agreements are in place.
Modafferi and Lee fought each other in Invicta FC before the two signed with the UFC. Their first meeting in 2014 went in favor of Modafferi, who earned a spilt decision victory.
Modafferi (24-17) just fought on June 20, losing a unanimous decision to Lauren Murphy at UFC on ESPN 11. She has been busy in 2020 as the upcoming bout with Lee will be her third fight within the calendar year. She also fought in January at UFC 246, picking up a win over rising contender Maycee Barber. The MMA veteran is 3-4 in her UFC tenure.
Lee (11-4) will come into the fight not only looking to avenge her 2014 defeat, but also to get back into the win column. She dropped her last two-fights to Joanne Calderwood and Murphy by spilt decision. Lee is 3-2 in her UFC career.
No other Sept. 12 fights have been made public or official at this time.
