Roxanne Modafferi preparing for a “glorious battle” against Taila Santos at UFC 266

Roxanne Modafferi isn’t promising wins anymore in her career. Instead, every time she steps foot in the octagon she is looking to go out and have what she calls a “glorious battle.”

Modafferi’s next glorious battle is just a few days away as she fights Taila Santos at UFC 266 on Sept. 25.

Modafferi (25-18) has flip-flopped wins and losses throughout her whole UFC career so far and will come into her UFC 266 bout ranked at No. 9 in the official UFC flyweight rankings. Santos will enter the fight ranked at No. 12 and Moddafferi knows that Santos wants her spot in the top 10, but Modafferi has been working hard to insure that she won’t leave the division’s top 10.

Prior to the fight, Modafferi, who happens to have the most professional fights of any woman in mixed martial arts history, talked to MyMMANews about her matchup with Santos and how she feels at this point of her career. She also talked about another fight at UFC 266 as her division champion Valentina Shevchenko defends her belt against one of Modafferi’s former opponents in Lauren Murphy.

Aside from UFC 266, Modafferi took a trip down memory lane as she discussed her time Japan where she taught English as a second language.

You can watch her full interview in the video above.
