Ryan Carroll will look to get back to the win column as he steps into Justin Montalvo this Saturday, May 12 at Maverick MMA 7. After three consecutive decision losses the 34-year old Miller Brothers MMA believes that his experience will carry him in a victory over Montalvo this weekend.

“I know that he’s willing to get into the cage with me, so I like that about him. Hopefully he shows up and is ready to put on a good show. I don’t need to know that much,” Carroll said.

After a string of tough losses, Carroll believes he has taken something from each encounter and grown as a fighter.

“I learn something from every match, whether I win or lose.”

“At the end of the day that’s what all I’m about, being a little bit better for the next fight than I was for the last fight.”

Carroll’s plan is to feel Montalvo out and stand and bang and if that doesn’t work, take it to the ground.

“I hope everybody in the crowd gets their money’s worth,” Carroll said.

The fight card will take place at the Econo Lodge in Allentown, PA and is headlined by a featherweight title matchup between champion Scott “The Animal” Heckman and challenger, Ryan Kim Cafaro.
