Ryan Hall vs Ilia Topuria

Hall is getting back to the UFC cage after a two-year competitive hiatus. Though he does have a pair of wins via strikes and a rear-naked choke victory, Ryan Hall is most known for his deadly heel hook capabilities.

The Jiu-Jitsu savant had a pair of bouts with Ricardo Lamas fall by the wayside last year. Ryan Hall also withdrew from a bout with Dan Ige that was mapped out for March.

Hall has scored notable victories over Darren Elkins, BJ Penn, Gray Maynard, and Artem Lobov to name a few. The Wizard is 8-1 overall as a pro, 4-0 in the UFC after a tenure on The Ultimate Fighter season 22, and is riding an eight-fight winning streak.

Topuria has back-to-back wins under the UFC banner and is 10-0 as a pro overall. In his octagon pursuits so far, he bested Youssef Zalal via unanimous decision and finished Damon Jackson via punches in the first round.

Those wins came in October and December of last year. This Hall contest is Ilia Topuria’s first fighting foray of 2021.

Ilia Topuria is a former Cage Warriors bantamweight champion and MFE featherweight champion. The Brave CF veteran has a myriad of choke-based victories but has also shown finishing ability with his strikes as well.
