Sean Brady submits Jake Matthews in dominant performance at UFC 259

Sean Brady vs. Michel Pereira agreed to for UFC San Antonio

Sean Brady will look to return to the win column in March.

Brady is set to face Michel Pereira at UFC San Antonio on March 25, as Pereira revealed the news to Brazilian outlet PVT. Contracts have yet to be signed but the fight is agreed to and will take place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The main event has yet to be announced.

Sean Brady (15-1) suffered his pro loss back at UFC 280 in October as he lost by second-round TKO to Belal Muhammad. Prior to the loss, the Philly native was 5-0 in the UFC. Brady is the former CFFC welterweight champion and scored a decision win over Court McGee in his debut. He then followed that up with a decision win over Ismail Naurdiev, submissions wins over Christian Aguilera and Jake Matthews, and a decision victory over Michael Chiesa before the loss to Muhammad. Brady is currently ranked eighth at welterweight.

Michel Pereira (28-11 and two No Contests) is 6-2 in the UFC and riding a five-fight win streak which has made him the 14th-ranked welterweight. Last time out, the Brazilian earned a split decision win over Santiago Ponzinibbio in May for the biggest win of his career. On the win streak, he has decision wins over Andre Fialho, Niko Price, and Khaos Williams while having a submission win over Zelim Imadaev.  After winning his UFC debut by KO over Danny Roberts, Pereira suffered a surprise decision loss to Tristan Connelly and a DQ loss to Diego Sanchez.
