Simone Johnson, The Rock’s daughter, to compete in first pro wrestling match
Simone Johnson, The 21-year-old daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, will make her WWE in-ring debut at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 1.
Simone goes by the name Ava Raine in NXT. She was introduced as an on-screen character in October 2022 but is yet to make her official pro wrestling debut.
Simone Johnson will make WWE history as the first fourth-generation superstar to compete with the promotion. Her father obviously needs no introduction as he is not only one of the biggest superstars in WWE history but also one of the highest earning actors of all-time in “The Rock.” Also, her grandfather (Rocky Johnson), and great-grandfather (Peter Maivia) were superstars in their respective eras as well.
Simone signed with the WWE in February 2020 and began training at the company’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. She suffered a setback in September 2020 when she was forced to undergo knee surgery for the third time.
