Official Result:

Spivac secures a beautiful inside trip takedown soon after the first round begins, as he gets to work on the mat. Sakai is able to get back to his feet, before being hip tossed back down to his back. Spivac uses a number of hip tosses throughout this contest, and they’re all done so effortlessly.

Spivac absolutely batters Sakai throughout the first, and especially the second round; taking his back, easily passing to side control while on top, reigning down heavy punches and so on.

Serghei Spivac, who is the last man to defeat Tai Tuivasa mind you, is now 15-3 as a professional, this being his 13th finish. And, he’s 5-1 in his last six, only losing to Tom Aspinall in that time.

Augusto Sakai on the other hand has now lost his last four-straight, all via knockout, falling to 15-5-1 after opening up his career with a record of 15-1-1.

Six fights so far tonight and six finishes, wow! What an event this has become.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
