UFC Vegas 59 Live Results: TUF Finals – Juliana Miller is the Ultimate Fighter!!

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to us tonight, August 6, 2022, for UFC Vegas 59, going down live from the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Headlining the event is a pair of ranked light-heavyweight contenders in former title challenger Thiago Santos (no. 6) and Jamahal Hill (no. 10), and is co-headlined by another pair of ranked contenders, this bout coming in the welterweight division between Vicente Luque (no. 6) and Geoff Neal (no. 13).

In a featured fight of the night, The Ultimate Fighter finals take place in the women’s flyweight division. Brogan Walker (8-2) fights Juliana Miller (3-1) for a UFC contract and the TUF season 30 title. Walker enters the fight eight years elder, but according to Vegas Miller is the favorite at -135, with a three-inch height advantage.  A grappler vs. a striker, a classic matchup in the UFC. Which skill will prove itself and which fighter will be crowned champion of Season 30 TUF and be awarded a UFC contract?

Round 1: 

Walker comes right out to the center. Miller lands a left hook. Walker looking to land a leg kick. Miller scores a takedown and lands in half-guard. Miller working from on top, and Walker is trying to fight from the bottom, but can’t find much success other than tying up Miller. Miller with over three minutes of top control at this point. Walker looking for an armbar but nothing comes out of it. Miller takes round one and finished the round with a big elbow from above.

Round 2: 

Miller lands a jab to open the round as Walker tries to throw a leg kick. Both fighters exchange leg kicks. Walker lands a body kick and left hand. Walker ties up against the cage. Miller Spins her around and scores another takedown. Walker has the ankle and scrambles with Miller. Miller takes her back and Walker gets back up to her feet and takes back down using under hooks Walker’s arms from behind. Miller looking for a Rear Naked Choke. It’s getting tight. Miller is in a great position to finish this. Walker gets out and scrambles out and climbs on top and in a clinched position on the feet against the cage. Miller uses under hooks to get out and throws a punch as they separate. Now Walker clinches back up with Miller. Miller spins Walker and has the control in the clinch from the outside. After a knee, Miller scores another takedown. Landing on top, Miller slides out to side control and smothers Walker. Miller landed strong ground and pound as the final second’s tik off.

Miller 10-9

Round 3: 

Walker comes out to the center again throwing but not landing. Walker’s volume has gone up as Miller continues to land her left hand. Walker goes for the clinch again, but Miller throws an Uno card at Walker and hits her with a reverse. Miller gets another takedown and is in Full-Mount. Miller raining down elbows and just beating up Walker from the top. at this point, Miller is outstriking Walker 51 to 17. Walker can’t escape as she tries to but Miller does not allow it. Heavey ground-and-pound from the top and the referee saw enough and ended it. Juliana “Killer” Miller finishes Walker in round three.

Miller Defeated Walker in round three via TKO (Ground-and-pound) and is now 4-1 in her career and the Newest Ultimate Fighter Champion! TUF Finals season 30 winner.
