Stefan Struve returns to face Matt Mitrione at UFC 175
Stefan Struve (25-6) has been out of mma action indefinitely due to an enlarged heart and a leaking aortic valve. Struve last fought March 2013 at UFC on Fuel TV 8 – Silva vs. Stann, where the seven-foot Dutchman lost via TKO to Mark Hunt.
Struve suffered a broken jaw in that bout but had a four-fight winning streak prior to this loss, setting him back from a title shot.
With Struve now medically cleared to fight, he looks to bounce back from his last performance and become one of the top heavyweights in the UFC.
Matt Mitrione will not be an easy task. Mitrione last fought in March with an impressive KO in the final seconds of the first round over Shawn Jordan.
