Stephen Loman on ONE Championship debut: “One of my goals is to prove that I belong here”

Former Brave Combat Federation bantamweight champion Stephen Loman (14-2) was originally scheduled to make his promotional debut with ONE Championship earlier this year but had to pull from the bout after contracting COVID-19.

“The Sniper” Loman was set to compete against No. 1-ranked John Lineker at ONE on TNT III this April. Instead, the 29-year-old Team Lakay fighter will now face Yusup Saadulaev at ONE: Winter Warriors II. Saadulaev has 12 fights with ONE Championsip and is currently riding a three-fight win streak with the promotion.

“One of my goals is to prove that I belong here,” Loman recently said in a virtual press conference. “Another would be to face the top contenders, which is why I need to do my best in my upcoming fight so that I can have an opportunity to fight Bibiano Fernandes for his [bantamweight] title.”

ONE: Winter Warriors II will be recorded at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on December 3 and will be aired live via tape delay on December 17.

ONE: Winter Warriors II fight card:

Regian Eersel vs. Islam Murtazaev (ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title)
