Adrian Yanez Believes Sean O’Malley Callout Legit, Predicts KO Victory

Interview with Adrian Yanez above

Adrian Yanez (15-3) recaps his unanimous decision victory over Davey Grant (11-6) at UFC Vegas 43 on Nov. 20. Adrian also talks about why a fight with Julio Arce interests him, becoming a father for the first time, and why he believes Sean O’Malley actually wants to fight him.

“I think he actually means it when he says it. He thinks it’s a fun fight, of course. My standup is really good, his standup is really good. Honestly, I think it’s a fun matchup for me as well. He’s a really good striker, I’m a great boxer. Here’s the thing he has a fight in a couple of weeks against (Raulian) Paiva, and if Paiva gets it that fight won’t happen. I know he wants to come back in March, but I want to fight in April/May. Honestly think it’s like a Hagler-Hearns type of deal. I know how tough he is, I know how tough I am. I think I’m going to close the distance and knock him out.”
