Tabatha Ricci previews her UFC Vegas 55 fight against Polyana Viana
Tabatha Ricci is all ready to go for her first fight of 2022.
Last year, Ricci made her UFC debut against Manon Fiorot on three days notice and she suffered the first loss of her professional career. Following the loss, Ricci bounced back into the win column against Maria Oliveira to earn her first career UFC victory.
After four total fights in 2021, Ricci now heads into fight week as she competes this weekend at UFC Vegas 55 in a strawweight matchup against Polyana Viana.
Prior to the fight, Ricci spoke with MyMMANews about her fight against Viana and her UFC career up to this point. She also spoke about moving from Brazil to California four years ago to pursue her MMA dreams. Since moving to America, Ricci has settled in with Paragon BJJ and Kickboxing Academy where she serves as a jiu-jitsu coach.
Ricci also gave the inside scoop behind her nickname “Baby Shark.” Fun fact. It’s not from the hit kids song.
