Tenshin Nasukawa To Return At RIZIN 20 Against Rui Ebata
Kickboxing prodigy, Tenshin Nasukawa, has been in the headlines the last couple weeks with a rumored fight announcement imminent. Now, per a tweet from the official RIZIN account, he is set to make his return at RIZIN 20 in a kickboxing match against Rui Ebata at 56 kilograms. The card takes place on December 31st in the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Tenshin Nasukawa is one of the best kickboxers in the world. He is best known to Americans for being knocked out by Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition match at RIZIN 14. But there’s more to Nasukawa than one loss in an exhibition match. As a professional kickboxer, he is 33-0. He’s also gone 4-0 in mixed martial arts. He has fought five times since the Mayweather fight last December, all but one were stoppages.
Across the ring for Nasukawa is Rui Ebata. Ebata has fought twice in 2019, both wins in K.O. Climax. Ebata will be making his RIZIN debut at RIZIN 20. Ebata is a skilled fighter and will actually be a closer fight than people think, despite the disparity in popularity between the two.
Adding Tenshin Nasukawa to An Already Stacked Card
As RIZIN and Bellator announced yesterday, RIZIN 20 is already going out with a bang for 2019. Kai Asakura makes his first title defense against Michael Kape. C.B. Dollaway, former UFC contender, is also making his promotional debut as he takes on Jiri Prochazka for the title.
The card also includes three RIZIN versus Bellator bouts. Mikuru Asakura takes on John Macapa in the first bout of the main card. The second cross promotional bout pits Yuki Motoya against Patrick Mix. That is followed by a Grand Prix semi finals matchup between Patricky Pitbull and Luis Gustavo.
