Titan FC 49 fight card features two title fights in Fort Lauderdale
Titan Fighting Championship will hold Titan FC 49 from their home at Xtreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Friday, April 6, 2018. The event will be streamed live exclusively on the UFC’s digital subscription service, UFC Fight Pass.
The Titan FC 49 fight card features 12 fights to include two titles on the line.
Luis Gomez (6-1) vs. Jason Soares (10-0) – for Titan FC featherweight title
Rami Hamed (6-1) vs. Jose Caceres (13-7) – for Titan FC welterweight title
Hamed and Caceres fought to a no-contest in their original outing at Titan FC 48 in February.
“The Specimen” Jason Soares arrives in Titan FC for the first time and is granted with a title shot. His only loss was an exhibition bout on the Ultimate Fighter season 22 which is not recorded on his professional record. He challenges champion Luis Gomez in the evening’s main event. Gomez defeated Sodiq Yusuff at Titan FC to claim the gold.
The fight card also features a women’s flyweight bout between Trish Cicero and Chelsea LaGrasse. Each competitor will be looking to record their first victory.
“Titan FC 49 is shaping up to be another blockbuster card featuring two title fights, including the much anticipated debut of Jason Soares who faces off against featherweight champion, Luis Gomez,” Titan FC COO Lex McMahon tells MyMMANews.
“As well as, the rematch of Rami Hamed vs Jose Caceras. The card is also highlighted by rising heavyweights Steve Mowry and Michel Batista. And the return of the ever exciting Caio Uruguai.”
