SiriusXM has announced that Brian Stann, a former UFC middleweight contender and veteran of the United States Marine Corps, will host a new weekly show on SiriusXM’s combat sports and entertainment channel, SiriusXM Rush (channel 93).
Toe-2-Toe with Brian Stann will debut on April 12 and air every Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm ET. Stann brings extraordinary perspective and experience to the program, having been a Division I college football player, Marine Corps captain, decorated combat veteran and mixed martial arts champion. Each week’s show will feature Stann covering the latest news from the world of MMA and interviewing some of the sport’s biggest personalities.
“I am very excited to have this weekly platform on SiriusXM Rush that will allow me to go into greater detail with my analysis and, most importantly, discuss these great athletes and their personal stories and achievements in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts,” said Stann. “Toe-2-Toe will largely focus on the fighters and give the audience an inside look at the unique experiences of being a MMA competitor.”
Stann is a 2003 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he played linebacker for the Midshipmen. After graduation, Brian served in the United States Marine Corps and was promoted to the rank of Captain. He began his MMA career in 2006 with World Extreme Cagefighting and became the WEC Light Heavyweight Champion in 2008. Stann then joined UFC in 2009 where he fought as a middleweight until retiring in 2013. He currently serves as the president and CEO of Hire Heroes USA, a non-profit organization that assists veterans, and also works as a MMA analyst on UFC broadcasts for FOX Sports.
