Tony Ferguson suffers orbital fracture in loss to Justin Gaethje

Tony Ferguson took a lot of damage in his lopsided loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 249. As a result of the damaging blows, Ferguson was transported to the hospital following the interim lightweight championship fight.

Ferguson’s health status following the fight has been now released to the public. UFC president Dana White told Yahoo Sports that Ferguson suffered an orbital fracture in Saturday’s main event.

According to the UFC, Gaethje landed a total of 143 significant strikes prior to referee Herb Dean stopping the fight during the fifth round. 100 of those strikes landed on Ferguson’s head.
