Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series – Season 2, Week 5 results
Another 10 fighters hit the octagon tonight for Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In the main event of season 2, week 5, Jamie Colleen returns to the Contender Series to take on Maycee Barber.
The show airs on the UFC’s digital streaming service UFC Fight Pass and is shot on location at the Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fighter compete in front of UFC President Dana White and matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard in hopes for a UFC contract. A win does not necessarily guarantee a contract and some contracts may lead to smaller developmental deals but the fighters are presented with an opportunity to get their names out there nonetheless.
The light briefly went out tonight inside the TUF gym but it did not have any impact on the fight taking place between Chibwikem Onyenegecha and Anthony Adams.
Edmen Shahbazyan, Domingo Pilarte, and Maycee Barber all earned UFC contracts tonight.
