TUF 25 Finale Live Results – Gaethje vs. Johnson
The Ultimate Fighter Season 25 (TUF Redemption) Finale was held tonight from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The same venue plays host to tomorrow’s UFC 213 pay-per-view broadcast.
Fighting for the right to be called TUF champion, as well as the highest payout in Ultimate Fighter history, $250,000, Jesse Taylor and Dhiego Lima met in the finale. And how about that? If there ever was a true redemption story, Jesse Taylor is the guy it is about. Taylor who was kicked off the finale during his season, earned the title tonight by submitting Lima in the second round.
In the main event, former World Series of Fighting lightweight champion Justin Gaethje made his UFC debut as he headlined against former TUF winner, Michael Johnson. What an incredible fight. These two warrior stood toe-to-toe and threw bombs. Gaethje moved to a perfect 18-0 with a TKO win over Johnson in the second round.
