TUF Winner Efrain Escudero on coming out of retirement to headline Ares FS 16 on June 23

Interview with Efrain Escudero below

Efrain Escudero (32-16) discusses his welterweight fight against Baissangour Chamsoudinov (6-0) at Aries FC 16 on June 23. Efrain also spoke about where he’s training for this fight, how the UFC is now compared to when he competed for them and why he decided to come out of retirement.

“I’ve pretty much done everything in the sport.” Escudaro explained. “I won ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ I’ve travelled all over the world. I was having difficulties finding fights. All of a sudden, it’s easy for us to get discouraged. No fights were paying like UFC was paying. I was liking this coaching situation; I would rather be on the coaching side. I called my management team and told them I’m done. (Then my manager) told me he got me this deal in Europe. It’s a four-fight deal, it’s a pretty good contact. And you will be the main event. Obviously, we signed the fight.”
