Two Title Bouts and Hall of Fame Inductions To Highlight Cagezilla FC’s End of Year Event

On December 18th, 2021, Cagezilla Fighting Championships will close out their year with their 64th event. The evening will be highlighted by a double-digit fight card, as well as the second annual Cagezilla Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The event will be held at The Salisbury Center, in Manassas, Virginia.

The main event will feature current Cagezilla flyweight Champion, George Billy (10-2), defending against undefeated Jordan Burkholder (3-0), who hails from Jackson Wink MMA Academy, in New Mexico. Billy, the top rated flyweight in Virginia and sixth ranked flyweight in the U.S. Southeast, according to Tapology, has held the Cagezilla flyweight title since 2015 and has virtually cleaned out the stable of local flyweights. Burkholder will make the long trip from Albuquerque for the opportunity to add a marquee win to his early resume’. Burkholder made his MMA debut in December of 2020 and has since reeled off three straight wins, all via submission.

A second title will be on the line, as Cagezilla’s vacant middleweight title will be up for grabs, as Cagezilla’s current welterweight champion, Connor Mosby (3-1), will jump up a weight class for the opportunity to become a two-division champion. Challenging him for the title will be another Jackson Wink competitor, Jonathan Burnett (1-0). Burnett’s MMA debut came in mid-2019, at heavyweight, where he was victorious with a decision victory. In that time off, Burnett has joined Jackson Wink and worked on his MMA skill set, as well as getting his weight down to the middleweight level.

Another featured bout will pit two former Division 1 wrestlers head to head, as former Iowa St. Cyclone, Ben Cash (0-1) takes on former Virginia Tech Hokie and Manassas, Virginia native, Beau Curtis (1-0). Cash, fighting out of Ryan Hall’s Fifty/50 Martial Arts Academy, is coming off a highly contested loss in his debut, at Cagezilla 63 in October, whereas Curtis, out of Tech MMA & Fitness Academy, quickly finished his opponent in his August debut.

Cagezilla, the longest running fight promotion in the DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia) area, maintains a Hall of Fame and will induct their second set of inductees who include the following:

Fighters
Jeff Blachly
Kevin Chung
Anthony Cordero
Kenny Gaudreau
Gabby Holloway

Cagezilla 64 will take place at The Salisbury Center, in Manassas, Virginia, with the first fight kicking off at 7:00 PM EST. The event will be broadcast, via Pay-Per-View, on the Cagezilla FC Facebook page. The full fight card can be found at Tapology.
