UFC 225 weigh-in results – Whittaker vs. Romero, Dos Anjos vs. Covington
Complete UFC 225 weigh-in results from Chicago. Early weigh-ins begin at 10 a.m. EST with ceremonial weigh-ins taking place later today at 7 p.m. EST.
In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker meets challenger Yoel Romero. Whittaker is the only man to hold a victory over Romero. Today however, Romero lost his redemption opportunity as he came in heavy for the title picture. Romero first weighed in at 186 pounds, over the 185 pound title limit. On his second attempt Romero weighed 185.2 and now cannot win the middleweight title.
The co-main event is an interim welterweight title matchup between former UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos and rising star Colby Covington.
Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm takes on former Invita FC featherweight champ Megan Anderson who is making her organizational debut.
