UFC 237 results: Rose Namajunas To Defend Title In Foreign Land

The main event marks the return of Rose Namajunas, as she steps into the back yard of the challenger, Jessica Andrade. Namajunas is coming off of defending her title against long time strawweight champ, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, who she captured the belt from. Andrade is coming in on a huge knockout of Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 228. The five round fight is sure to produce fireworks for the bloodthirsty Brazilian crowd.

In the co-main event, Anderson Silva returns to Brazil as he takes on the powerful Jared Cannonier. Silva, most recently, lost a fight to Israel Adesanya at UFC 234. Silva looks to rebound from the toughest part of his career. Cannonier is riding a wave of confidence coming into the fight with the legend, Anderson Silva. In his first fight at middleweight, he knocked out long time veteran David Branch in round two.

Other notable fights on the card include legend Jose Aldo as he takes on the featherweight prospect, Alexander Volkanovski. Thiago Alves-Laureano Staropoli and Irene Aldana-Bethe Correia round out the main card.
