UFC cuts Rachael Ostovich following three-straight losses
The UFC cut Rachael Ostovich after “The Ultimate Fighter” season 26 vet suffered three-strait defeats.
First reported by MMA Junkie, Ostovich’s release comes just a little over a week after her third-round knockout loss to Gina Mazany at UFC on ESPN 18 on Nov. 28.
The flyweight is one of a number fighters released by the promotion, including former UFC middleweight title challenger Yoel Romero.
Ostovich made her UFC debut on the TUF 26 finale, submitting Karine Gevorgyan via arm-bar in 2017. It is her first and only octagon victory.
Ostovich followed up her promotional debut with a third-round submission loss to Montana De La Rosa on the TUF 27 Finale in July 2018.
Shortly after, her husband Arnold Berdon was sentenced four years of probation for assaulting his wife.
Ostovich returned to the octagon in 2019, only to suffer a second-round submission defeat to Paige VanZant at UFC Fight Night 143 on Jan. 19.

Ostovich’s 2020 campaign started off rough after she was suspended eight months for a testing positive for a tainted supplement. Her return to the octagon turned into a loss to Mazany.
Ostovich is a former Invicta FC contender, going 2-2 inside the all-women’s promotion. She is the winner of just one bout in her last five appearances.
During the UFC on ESPN 19 post-fight scrum, UFC president Dana White said he plans to make 60 roster cuts by the end of this year.
