UFC Fight Night 109 takes place today at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden and will air on FS1.
The fight card was headlined by the return of ‘The Mauler’ Alexander Gustafsson taking on Glover Teixeira. This was an intriguing matchup as both men once challenged former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones for the belt before he was stripped of the title. What a scrap this one. One of the best fights in recent memory. A back and forth brawl that ended with Teixeira being knocked out in the fifth and final round. Gustafsson then proposed to his girlfriend inside the octagon.
The UFC honored the victims and families of the attack in Manchester, England last week with a brief moment of silence to open up the card on FS1.
The co-main event of the fight card paired two top light heavyweight fighters in Misha Cirkunov and Volkan Oezdemir. If you blinked, you missed this one. It took only 28 second for Oezdemir to clip Cirkunov behind the ear and TKO the submission artist.

What a way to kick off the UFC Fight Pass portion of the card in Stockholm. Damir Hadzovic defeated Marcin Held with a knockout from a knee just seven seconds into the third round. Held was going in for a takedown when he was caught.
