Dustin Poirier defeats Dan Hooker in potential "Fight of the Year" candidate

UFC on ESPN 12 salaries released; Dustin Poirier is the event’s top earner

The UFC on ESPN 12 salaries have been released and Dustin Poirier left Saturday’s event has the highest paid fighter.

Poirier earned a close unanimous decision win over Dan Hooker and walked away with a total of $300,000 after his win. That number does not include his “Fight of the Night” bonus.

“The Diamond” was one of three fighters to make six-figure paydays. Hooker earned $110,00 despite losing in the main event and co-main event winner Mike Perry earned $180,000, making him the second highest earner on the card.

Sean Woodson, Jason Witt and Kyle Daukaus were the lowest paid fighters from the event, as all three men made $12,000.
