UFC vet Sarah Kaufman pondered retirement prior to BTC 13 call on Saturday

Sarah Kaufman (21-5) discusses her featherweight fight against Jessy Miele (9-5) at BTC 13 on Nov. 20. Sarah also spoke about how this opportunity came together, difficulty finding fights and how she nearly retired prior to getting this fight booked.
“Three and a half, four weeks ago here I got message saying ‘hey Jessy is willing to do the fight at 145lbs’ I’ve been really (adamant) about doing a fight at 135-pounds and not go up. But I also set myself a goal I need to fight by the end of 2021 or it might be time to call it (a career). It’s been two and a half, three years without a fight. I took this as a sign to take this fight regardless of weight class.”
