USKA Fights

Head kick knockouts and great fights were all on menu at USKA “Stand and Deliver”

USKA “Stand and Deliver” went down in Allentown, PA, Saturday, April 13. With eight amateur bouts on the fight card, it wound up being a terrific event full of highlight reel knockouts, great fights, and several debuting newcomers who showed great promise.  In the main event, Jordan Grenyon-Smith was on fire and came out throwing everything and finishing with a head kick KO 1:32 into the bout.

JJ Veramendi is a 20 year old blue chip prospect making his debut who also used the head kick to win by KO in spectacular fashion in round 2 vs a very tough Shawn Wilson.

Trevan “War Angel” Stephens had a 2 round war with Jeff Knapp and also made the highlight reel with a KO right before the bell at the end of the 2nd round.  Stephens will now face Brandon “the Ghost” Dean in a 175 lb State title bout on May 18.

Fight of the night had to go to Casey Kilgos and Jacob Strickler. It ended in a split decision for Strickler but the action was non-stop and intense with both men taking turns punishing the other.  One of the best fights I’ve seen in a while.
